Destiny 2 teased in Nathan Fillion-starring trailer - full reveal on March 30

Update March 28, 2017: Bungie have just released a proper teaser for Destiny 2, this time in video form.

The video, dubbed 'Last Call', shows Cayde-6, the Hunter vanguard voiced by Nathan Fillion, sat at a bar reciting war stories, presumably of when the Last City got attacked. Then the camera pulls back, revealing that this is the Last City, and it's still under attack. Fillion wades back in.

But is it even coming to PC? Here's what we know so far about Destiny 2, and what we'd like to see.

As far as teasers go, it ranks pretty highly. It's really well put together, as you can see for yourself above.

If it's left you wanting more, the official worldwide reveal is coming on March 30 at 10am PT/ 1pm ET.

Update March 27, 2017: Bungie have lifted the lid on Destiny 2 with a little Twitter tease.

The new image is draped in shadow, but you can clearly make out a burning city in the foreground. The Last City might be getting attacked, then. The Traveller hangs ominously overhead.

Here's the tease:

The internet is going mad about the size of the number two. However, the significant thing about the two is how it lines up with the leak in our previous story. Looks like it's on for a September 8 launch after all.

Original Story March 23, 2017: Destiny 2 will launch on September 8, and will have a beta period in June, with early access on PlayStation. That’s according to a leaked marketing poster and a swirl of rumours on Twitter.

Here’s the poster, leaked both by Italian gaming site LegaNetwork and GamestopItaly. It certainly looks legit, and it’s worth remembering that Destiny’s Rise of Iron expansion was leaked via promotional material too.

The beta is mentioned on the posters, and both Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips  and industry insider Daniel Ahmad added their considerable credibility via Twitter. Activision had a partnership with Sony for early access and some exclusive content on PlayStation - early access to the sequel's beta indicates that's likely to continue.

The timing also lines up. The first game and its two biggest expansions all launched in September, with announcements or major marketing pushes at or around E3 in June. Publishers Activision will no doubt throw everything at hyping up the sequel, so I'd expect an official reveal before E3 to allow for a lengthier marketing cycle. One way or another, it won't be long now before we get some concrete details.

Boring but necessary disclaimer: we’re talking leaks and rumours here, so approach this with all appropriate scepticism. It's all looking pretty legit, though.

Well, Ill be at E3 this year, I will definitely be in their ears about a PC release and why its in their best interest to do so.

I swear, if Bungie screws us PC games again, I will never support them no matter what they bring out.

I hate articles like this. How about not announcing console-exclusives until they're confirmed to be anything else? I'm on a PC. The whole reason I come to this site is so I don't have to hear about games I can't play.

I understand, which is why we wouldn't cover it if it weren't looking likely. Kotaku are prepared to go so far as to outright confirm it.

Check out our EWK for the evidence:

I'd still say just don't report on it unless you have something to report. I mean as evidence goes, I'll see yours and raise you this:

Ha, yeah I remember that. Different game and circumstances though, and in this case you've got good journos and a reliable tipster all saying it's happening.

Given we report on rumours for other games if the source seems credible, at this point we wouldn't really be doing our jobs if we didn't do so for Destiny 2, especially as it'll probably be huge.

Anyway, shouldn't be long now until we know for sure. If it doesn't happen, come back here and mock me.
