Heyo,

I'm Jules. You may have seen me about doing the evening and weekend news shifts over on the site. In the real world I'm working towards an MA in the History of Science, a pursuit I hope will further my endeavour to have no discernible qualifications. Difficult to list what I play exactly, it's not really by genre. Two of my favourite games of all time are Hostile Waters and Super Hexagon.

I'm in Leeds and I'm chipper.

Hi!

I'm Pete. The developer for PCGamesN, think I am somewhere between 32 and 35 years old. When I'm not coding I try and play games, Minecraft, specifically Feed The Beast is my current game of choice.

If you need someone to blame for the site not working... I'm your man.

Hello.

I'm 26 year old human male. I'm an Avant-Garde Economist, founder and managing director of SavyGamer.co.uk, and sometimes I trick editors of video games websites into giving me money in exchange for words about video games.

My favourite games are God Hand, Mirror's Edge and Alpha Centauri, and anything where you get to jump on baddies heads.

Hey, I'm Matt, and I'm the pet freelancer around these parts. I was saved by Tim from a burning wreckage (almost a true story), and now I write for PCGN instead of sweeping floors.

I shamelessly love big, AAA, event games despite a little part of my brain telling me I should explore more indies and learn to play Dota. I'm most at home in a narrative-heavy RPG.

I know that feel. I've bought lots of indie games and old classics, many of them are ridiculously good, but I still prefer to waste time replaying BL2, Dishonored or some other AAA hit.

I am The American. I live in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and do a lot of features coverage for PCGamesN. I work for a lot of different games outlets, focusing on strategy games in particular. I even host a podcast about strategy games called Three Moves Ahead.

I am also a walking public service announcement about why you should not get a degree in Classics. You'd be shocked how few jobs actually call for the ability to sight-translate Catullus.

I'm Ben and I'm a freelance games writer in his literal mid-twenties who should be hated due to my inability to stay aligned to strictly one format only but luckily my persistence and insistence at inserting terrible humour and puns into most of my work means people hate me for that first.

I like a lot of games. Don't make me choose don't make me choose noooooo.

Hello!

I'm Nick Wilson. I went to college to work with animals, and came out being a games journalist. Funny that. I pretty much write exclusively for PCGamesN at the moment, which is an awesome place full of lovely people.

I have a burning love for MMO games, as I love anything that has big communities. I’ve played them all. But I also play everything else. For the last two years I’ve been obsessed with Dota 2; we should play sometime. Other favourite games include the Thief series, Total War and anything made by Bullfrog.

Anthony here.  I've been playing games for awhile, favorites being RPGs.  Been trying to get into strategy games.  Played a demo of Crusader Kings 2 and felt my brain hurt.  I don't have a job in games...or a job at all.  Using my spare time to learn web development.  Well, when I'm not on PCGamesN

I'm Lucas, I threw away my studies to look after my disabled fiancee and now spend most of my time writing about games/ playing them, when I'm not working part time making roller blinds. (It's more fun than it sounds.) I'm currently looking to find something part time/work from home that I can get a qualification out of, though.

I am descending far down the hole of Dota 2 at the moment, but I also play adventure games, rpgs and other dumb stuff.

Gaming achievements of note include getting a reader review published in PC Gamer (Blood Bowl Legendary Edition), being the first member of public in the UK to play XCOM (when everyone else was ignoring it for the Borderlands 2 stand), and getting the Little Rocket Man achievement in Half Life 2. I largely prefer strategy games, just recently got into DOTA, and aside from the odd rager, it's actually been fairly fun. I'm not certain if that means I'm playing it incorrectly.

Aside from that, not a huge fan of Starcraft, huge fan of DoW2, SupCom, and looking forward to Planetary Annihilation. Largely eclectic on everything else but those are my main time sinks. Everything else I'm pretty much eclectic on.

Hi

I'm Malcolm, I live in Wallasey and I'm a sysadmin/general dogsbody. I'm married to Tiff from Tacoma whom I met online in 97.

Have been playing games on computers since getting a 48K Sinclair ZX Spectrum for Christmas in 1982 which was then followed by a Commodore 64, an Atari ST 520STFM and a Commodore Amiga 500 Plus. I moved over to x86. The first PC game I played was Doom on a work computer while everyone else was out. The PC didn't have sound so I never knew about the floor triggers that opened secret areas until I bought my first PC in 1995.

I play most types of games, though I'm completely hopeless at RTSes. My wife also plays PC games albeit to a lesser extent (thankfully she has her own PC) and is my co-op partner for action RPGs.

I'm on Steam, Origin, Raptr, Twitter, Uplay and GFWL as MerseyMal, MerseyMal.3921 in Guild Wars 2 and merseymal#1677 on Battlenet

Not just kids, with easy to install mods (feed the beast, tekkit) you can make minecraft insanely complicated, you still have your mining/survival/base building but adding machines and farms gives the game more depth.

I currently spend £5/month on a feedthebeast server just because it's easy for me and friends to login whenever we want. Thats with creeperhost but suggest you do some googling for good Au servers

Gaming is and has been my chief pastime since I can remember.

Being 42, I still clearly remember being at the front of the queue when the local leisure centre wheeled in its first Space Invaders cab. Since then I have gamed on every major platform from Intellivision to Playstation, and some of the minor ones too . . (vectrex anyone?)

Mainly an FPS and sports gamer currently, BF4 and Fifa but some gaming highlights to reminisce over would be Skool Daze, Commando (arcade), Street Fighter 2, Metal Gear Solid, Cannon Fodder, Atic Atac, Summer Games, Deus Ex Machina, Gauntlet (arcade)

Whilst I do not have an encyclopaedic knowledge of games, I've been around the block long enough to have a wide angled view of the gaming landscape.

I'm an Android nut too . .
