Mean Streets of Gadgetzan is the next Hearthstone expansion, and that means a big set of new cards to play with. Unlike the adventures, expansions are all-in on giving new tools for deckbuilders, with 132 new minions and spells to destroy opponents with. All the ones revealed so far are listed below, along with a brief primer on what the expansion is all about.
For everything else from BlizzCon 2016, we've got you covered.
The story of the set is based around the goblin settlement of Gadgetzan, one of World of Warcraft's neutral cities. The town's seedy underworld, however, is ruled by three criminal families: the Grimy Goons, the Jade Lotus and the Kabal. Each family has their own archetypes, the brutish enforcers of the Goons, the stealthy assassins of the Jade Lotus and the mana-hungry mages of the Kabal. They also have three classes associated with them, giving rise to this expansion's new big mechanic: tri-class cards.
Tri-class cards can be played by one of the three classes in each family, denoted by the crime family's crest under the mana cost of the card. The classes associated with each family are as follows:
- Grimy Goons: Warrior, Hunter, Paladin.
- Jade Lotus: Rogue, Shaman, Druid
- Kabal: Mage, Priest, Warlock.
You can tell which are which by a logo in the top left of a card.
Most importantly, the expansion releases on December 1. As always, you can pre-purchase a batch of 50 packs for $49.99 / £34.99. All the cards are below, along with the pre-launch livestream showing off various decks featuring them.
