StarCraft's medic joins Heroes of the Storm as a shield-wielding support character

Heroes of the Storm medic

A couple of days ago, Blizzard detailed some new characters for Heroes of the Storm: Rexxar and Kharazim. It turns out, they were holding out on us.

What was Blizzard hiding their sleeves? Another hero, specifically StarCraft’s medic.

She’s a support hero with single target healing, sporting a massive shield and grenades. One of her heroics even summons the medivac which she can jump into, along with allies, and then redeploy in another part of the map.

So she can transport her team all the way across the map. That’s some good support.

Is HotS the "easier" to learn over Dota and League?

It's the game people in League will tell you to go back to after the people in Dota tell you to go back to League.

I've got a few friends who bounced off DOTA hard but quite enjoy HotS. You still need to understand the maps, but the characters are fewer and feel more straightforward. It seems to be less hostile too.
