Houston Outlaws roster

The Outlaws roster includes some of the strongest North American players in the business, including several members for the USA national squad. They did put up a fight against the Korean team at World Cup 2017, but it doesn't make them favourites by any stretch. Their coaching staff, however, is extremely well chosen.

  • Matt ‘Clockwork’ Dias, DPS, USA
  • Jiri ‘LiNkzr’ Masalin, DPS, Finland
  • Jake ‘JAKE’ Lyon, DPS, USA
  • Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson, DPS, Sweden
  • Matt ‘coolmatt69’ Iorio, Flex, USA
  • Alexandre ‘SPREE’ Vanhomwegen, Flex, Belgium
  • Austin ‘Muma’ Wilmot, Tank, USA
  • Daniel ‘Boink’ Pence, Support, USA
  • Christopher ‘Bani’ Benell, Support/Flex, Canada
  • Shane ‘Rawkus’ Flaherty, Support, USA

The team are backed up by a large organisation of managers and training staff, including head coach Tae-yeong ‘TaiRong’ Kim, who previously led South Korea to victory in the first Overwatch World Cup. He’s joined by two other coaches, Hyeon-woo ‘HyeonWoo’ Kim and Adam ‘MESR’ De La Torre, plus general manager Matt ‘flame’ Rodriguez.

Houston Outlaws schedule

Houston had an unsuccessful preseason, losing first to Dallas and then to the Seoul Dynasty. They were close matches, with neither team embarassing Houston, but it's expected for what is an unproven squad from a variety of backgrounds. They'll want to bounce back in the main event, but have some challenges in their first games against Excelsior and Fuel.

Season One - Stage One

Stage one title matches will be that final week on Saturday, February 10 at 19:00 or 21:00 CT - likely the earlier slot as that is the purpose of the Atlantic Division. With Tae-yeong ‘TaiRong’ Kim working behind the scenes, they could get there.
