I also use MX518. It's an old mouse, have it for several years, still woking well,
That is intensely interesting, thanks for sharing.
If the payment method is through paypal, you should be able to cancel the subscription at any time. I have used a couple businesses which don't bother with a cancel function. But thankfully Paypal does it.
Only complaint I have heard about is long traveling time with helicopter. Board helicopter, 20 seconds to air command, choose destination, another 20 seconds. Hopefully that will be skippable in a future patch.
This is true, but you can interact while this is happening. I often fired the chopper's gun at an enemy compound as I departed. It also adds to the game's sense of place.
Quoting development time of current 2,5 years https://i.imgur.com/flrVzR9.png
Compared to ambitious MMOs development time of average 5 years, Dereks' little fit sounds ridiculous and childish. The media is just escalating the whole thing.
“I don't think most humans want to look stupid (everyone looks stupid in a VR headset) [...] if someone's sneaking up behind me with a baseball bat, I want to know about it, you know what I mean?]
This is one of the most stupid argument i've ever heard. Most people will play at home where, with caution, the risk is nearly 0.
I agree. Also there's way bigger problems than a VR if someone is able to sneak behind you with a baseball bat. For example a wide-open front door. Your security is your concern. You don't lay the blame on a VR device because you lack a simple lock and key. Honestly Warren Spector sounds like an arrogant person trying to make VR the scapegoat.
Meh, I might be old-fashioned with the 7. But we'll see the next 9 within a year.
If you're the one that's old fashioned, then why is Windows 8 the one that looks _older_ than 7 for missing things like the drop shadows and other aspects of Aero?
The flat look takes me all the way back to Windows 3.1.
Ah well. At least they've got the freaking apps running in windows now (Windows? What a novel idea) on the desktop instead of having that clunky disjunct as it switches back and forth.
There will definitely be still something broken on launch, for example capped at 30 fps or something similar weird annoyance. When you once done a bad console port, developers don't change their behavior.
Oh... You didn't read the article.
Here, let me quote from it:
"[...] we did spend time working on the PC version, making sure that we do attend to higher resolutions, higher framerates[...]", and
"[...] we had the PC version in mind from the start. That was a big step for us. We wanted to provide a good PC game."
