Were either of you guys around when the Crysis 1 demo came out in 2007? Just that demo alone sold millions of dollars worth of PC hardware because it showed people the potential. VR has a lot more potential than the Crysis 1 demo, it also has a lot more people that are ready for it. There are countless people who are just fine with putting up with the growing pains of a new technology. I can't count the times I've said this now, but the only people who are skeptical about VR are the ones that have not tried the latest iterations of VR hardware. Have you tried the VIVE or anything newer than the DK2? Have you even tried the DK2?
It will sell like crazy if they have proper demos in stores :D... People will throw their Visa's at them :D
12 months hopefully the beta...
At this point and for well over a year you would be donating to a game company that spans over 4 countries and has close to 300 employee's.
Yea now that are in full production things are coming faster and faster :D
Existing backers also make additional pledges, therefore you cannot take the money gained in a time period and simply divide it by how many additional citizens there are.
New backers are most likely making normal $50 initial pledges, and the additional funds are from existing backers when a concept ship they have been waiting for is made available.
Also i can melt an old ship and buy a new with small $s and the credit :P
So did Derek Smart ever refund all the people he ripped off over the years with his barely functioning Battlecruiser games? This all seems rather hypocritical.
