It was literally started because some dude was mad a girl broke up with them. If the vocal majority was worried about ethics, they should probably, idk, start a new hashtag.

I've found when people won't distance themselves from something that they tacitly support it but lack the balls to say so.

Acknowledging them, especially in such a public manner, is giving the trolls exactly what they want, and so the cycle continues.
Ben Barrett Avatar

Ignoring them doesn't work and never has. It's a myth.

Deadite Avatar
Business model has little to do with this game failing. The match making and MMR systems are so badly messed up I don't think they can ever save this game without redesigning them from scratch.
Ben Barrett Avatar

I disagree, not least because everyone seems to think whatever game they have is the one with the worst matchmaking.

Heroes of the Storm review snippet Why would you pick Heroes of the Storm over League of Legends or Dota 2?
Mainly the speed. Individual games are much shorter and more action-focused - you can play two or three games in an hour, and even short sessions feel more fulfilling than other MOBAs.

Oh soz for late reply thanks for the reply man much appreciated :) i was wondering because u did it in the previous patches 7.3 7.4 etc but is it because Riot Games don't know what game-mode to put up yet?

Ben Barrett Avatar

Think it's a bit random as to when they decide to test them - basically whether they have one planned for that cycle or not. I'll have another check today and add a section if there is.

Not a lot going on with them this cycle. [email protected] have a bit in their sidebar about what's coming up - http://www.surrenderat20.net/p/current-pbe-balance-changes.html

"Since announcement it’s garnered serious attention"

From absolutely no one that I have seen except PCGn. Don't get me wrong, i'm moderately interested. But it seems like you lads are a trumpet band of one.
Ben Barrett Avatar

What we see that you don't is the amount of attention what we write about it gets (along with general community size, how long the line was at PAX, etc.)

Mass Effect: Andromeda gets second pre-release patch, fixing multiplayer soundMass Effect: Andromeda gets second pre-release patch, fixing multiplayer sound
Deadite Avatar
I did enjoy the trial. This game has a shit ton of flaws but the overall package seems like an enjoyable sci-fi romp. There's no miracle patch that can fix the facial animations or dodgy writing though some of the odd quirks might get smoothed out.

It's going to be a case of whether or not you are willing to overlook the rough edges on this one.
Ben Barrett Avatar

One thing it's made me note as I finish off an ME3 playthrough is these games have never had good lip-sync or animations. Shepard runs like the Reapers are giving him constant brown trouser time.

The writing is much more of a worry. Not every line in the trilogy is stellar, but I think there's less cringe moments.

I'm all of two hours into Andromeda, however, so not exactly ready to judge yet. Reviews will be incredibly interesting, but it's not the instant classic 10/10 or big surprise hit we're starting to get a little used to in 2017. A shame, but I expect I'll enjoy it a lot anyway.

Yeah, that seems to be the general plot. What's weird is map hacks etc. never seemed to run rampant out of PC bangs when StarCraft, League were on top.

Chaz Avatar

I'd hazard a guess that autoaim programs are just significantly easier to implement, or give you a greater advantage. In Blizzard's defence OW is certainly not the only FPS to experience cheating, and maybe it's the popularity of the game that seem to inflate these reports making it seem like a bigger issue than it is.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void review snippet Are the aliens in StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void scary?
Depends how you feel about faceless psychics and gribbly beasts. It never goes into straight-up horror, and Blizzard's style is so over the top that it defies becoming disturbing.

No, it subverts itself a lot and switches it up from just plain cute rather quickly.

You Must Build A Boat review snippet Have you come up with any clever strategies in You Must Build A Boat?
Beyond matching non-combat tiles outside of combat as much as possible and avoiding wasting big damage combos without anything to hit, no, it's mostly luck with a bit of pattern recognition in there.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth review snippet How gory is The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth?
Nothing spectacular, and the low-fi graphics mean it's far less in your face than you get from today's various big-budget offerings. It is gross, though, and if you stop and think about what's going on it's basically disgusting.

Grand Theft Auto V review snippet How open is Grand Theft Auto V to explore?
It's a massive city that's basically completely unrestricted, especially with some mods to open up more of the buildings. The tools you have to get around make it even easier, but there isn't a lot to do out there.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive review snippet How does Global Offensive compare to Source or 1.6?
Source was my game and even the tiniest changes in GO put me off initially. It has some additional weapons and a large rebalance pass, plus various changes to the cash system, menus, level layouts etc. It's also patched more regularly than its previous counterpart. It is as much a brand new game in the details as it is broadly the same. However, if you're a Source or 1.6 hardcore player, you likely already know which you prefer.

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN review snippet How realistic are the horses in METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN?
As realistic as it's possible to be while being an armoured, immortal horse that gets air-lifted by a balloon regularly.
