Professional animators talk about what went wrong with Mass Effect: AndromedaProfessional animators talk about what went wrong with Mass Effect: Andromeda

CD Projekt Red realized early on that they weren't going to be able to animate all of the dialogue well enough, they wrote software that created most of the facial animations. Then animators would smooth over the rough spots. It worked brilliantly.

It is so much easier to create bonds with characters when their faces animate realistically.

Yeah exactly. I'm no game designer but right of the gate knowing that a trilogy is coming you'd think that nailing the core mechanics/gameplay would be top priority. Get animations algorithms polished etc. Keep the core narrative classic Bioware style and use expansive sidequests to explore new directions i.e. how choices effect the player, the style of quests. I would of most definitely left multiplayer out until a later game.

Right now they have so much to address before looking at two, if they got the core nailed down they could of done a year of DLC, releasing MEA 2 years from now. Players would be hungry... Now, I think I would feel nervous if they announced the next title so quickly.

Wait, What!? Four tones or agree/disagree? Is this Mass Effect or the Shite that was the choice system of Fallout 4? Either i don't have enough information on what that entails or this is just awfully limiting.

As a person who has worked in the advertising world for 20 years, it still blows my brains out knowing how much corporations spend just to get your attention. Madness.

I just don't get what the appeal is to cheating, unless you're making money doing it. Why cheat? It takes all the fun out of playing.

On the PC version, is there an option to turn off crosshairs?Reply
Segur ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽/ Avatar

Yes, in the recent BF games there has been a "Hardcore" game mode where weapons do more damage and there are no UI cross-hairs, only iron-sites and optics. I assume this game mode made it into BF1 seeing as it has the rest of them.

How Total War: Warhammer's siege battles are changing, as told by the AIHow Total War: Warhammer's siege battles are changing, as told by the AI

Having played Rome 2, Atilla and every other Total War game, the battle AI hasn't improved much at all, especially during seiges. The same tactics that cheaply worked 10 years ago still work today.

Sorry to hear that's the case. Hopefully they'll get it right with W:TW. Cheap tactics are great when they work the first time... But they shouldn't work every time.

I have to agree. I gave it a couple of hours and am wondering what all the excitement about. The maps are tiny, minimal differences between the weapons, no real strategic layer to speak of, etc. It just seems like another run-n-gun with awesome Star Wars music. Which is great, but not for more than a few hours.

Huh, so we have Fallout 4 which offers massive content around the price for Battlefront(and in my country, a bit more) and will take away 1000 Hours of your life, one sidequest at a time. or Battlefront, which was designed with casual movie-goers in mind, and will provide a measly 100 Hours at most.

And don't get me started on Season Passes.

But the biggest thing.
