Like most of the mechanics in the pre-alpha demo, the return fire is only a placeholder. Return fire is a passive ability that is only available to certain classes and weapon types. In the final game, it will be subject to the same restrictions as normal fire under the ballistics system including the chance to miss or hit cover. There will be multiple ways to deal with enemies who have return fire. A well placed sniper shot is one way, disabling the gun arm on an enemy before they can shoot back.
Now that sounds much better.
I hope it will be bound to a reaction stat, line of fire or lighting and not just be systematic. Otherwise, it would be a very clunky way to force attrition on the player.
That's a nightmare situation. Are you definitely looking to stick with AMD - is it a manufacturer's webstore? Because the 6GB GTX 1060 is pretty close in terms of both price and performance if you're able to make the switch.
I would love to buy anything, but GTX 1060 6GB costs 527$ in the store, and that feels like someone is squeezing me by the balls. All I can do right now is to wait for the price drop and increase my budget slowly. Thanks for compassion :(
Few days ago I tried KF2 and I haven't found any players to play. I doubt it was too late, but I hope players won't die out before launch.
Yes it's been empty this week but I assume that's because others, like a lot of my steam friends, had already updated to the beta before its initial release today. Beta servers have been going for a week or so.
Don't get me wrong. I love Divinity. They made something very VERY impressive with first part. It was glorious!
But it sold better than well. They have money. Lots of it. I'm sure they could afford 500.000$. Yes, I understand that it is better to invest someone else money that your own, but still.
I'm quite sure Larian will make great job, but putting their next game on Kickstarter, they are "taking" money from developers who really needs money to finish their games. We may be missing another FTL that way.
I'm not sure it works like that. People pledge money to support the projects they are excited about. If I don't give money to this game, it doesn't mean I would give them to another. I might as well go out for a beer.
There is probably an overlap between the groups of possible backers, where indeed a larger developer is taking money from a smaller one, but if their game raises more interest ... then that's OK really.
Why not? As long as they use that money to make the game better .. why not?
