you'll spend very little time zoomed in anywhere near that far, unless you want to be slaughtered.
As a CPU and GPU manufacturer AMD have a commercial interest in all of PC gaming's successes. HTC also have a commercial interest in Fallout 4 VR being a success too.
It's clear you don't understand CPU architecture. There is no room on the chip. Currently, they would need to make the cores smaller in order to do that, and smaller cores are less powerful cores. Thus the Xeon lineup. Go buy yourself a Xeon and stop complaining.
Actually you're the one who doesn't understand CPU architecture by claiming that smaller cores are less powerful cores. When you would take a Pentium 4 core and bring it down to 14 nano using the exact same architecture, it would most definitely run faster, since the electrons have to travel a shorter distance.
> "the Minecraft team is working as hard as they can"
It sure doesn't show when we look at their lame updates every time...
unless you know how to make a video game with millions of people playing it you have no idea how hard it is! i bought this program to make mods, and it took me over a year to successfully make one item! so stop critizing them unless you made a video game like gta or something
No Daikatana? Junk list, Jules. For shame.
> "No Daikatana? Junk list, Jules. For shame."
You mean that game with 49% approval rating on Steam? Junk comment, Fraser. (I can only assume that you were joking)
Good luck making money on a free single player game
Call of Duty: Ghosts and Colonial Marines were bad games, even if they didn't have performance issues. Dishonored 2 is one of the best games I've played.
I did consider the performance issues. For two paragraphs. I let people know that they may experience issues. Nobody is being misled. Everything people need to know is in the text of the review, not the number at the end.
> "I explained why I gave it 10 despite performance issues"
No, you didn't, nowhere did you state why you think it's wise to reward a company like this who did a sloppy job on the optimization side of a $60 game. Nowhere did you state why it's wise to encourage developers to continue on this path in the future. All you cared about was the content when you rated this game. It's also an insult to those developers who not only develop an excellent game, but who also paid extra attention to polish. A polished game is to me more than just a polished game, it shows that the developer cares about more than just profits.
I've been gaming since the mid 70's and let me tell you this; I will never ever understand why this attitude of developers when it comes to performance continues to be awarded by the press.
All you seem to care about is that it's the best game you ever played and you wanted to make sure that it was expressed in the score, but hey... that 44% on Steam hate the game in its current state should not be taken into consideration, because how pleased the gamer will be with this product is clearly of no importance to you. Who the heck gives a 10 to any game anyway....
> "Nobody is being misled."
This is not about you misleading people, it's about you encouraging developers to continue on this path. These developers don't care about your notes at the end about performance, they just care about your score. Why don't you make a strong statement instead by giving it a 6/7 out of 10? No, let's no do that, after all happy customers is clearly not what you strive for.
> "I experienced only minor ones"
Yet at the same time you admit " I’ve been one of the lucky ones, though". So yeah, there is a fact for you that you are aware of; many people have lousy performance, but let's not take that into account when you give it a score, right?
I won't buy DH2, the majority are just too negative about it, it's the same with Mafia III.
Deadlines. Word counts. And, probably, Tequila.
