CCP knows EVE online usually "forces" people to stay iddle for long periods of time. They also know that EVE players are smart, mathematically and logically better prepared that the other players, and love everything that involves arithmetics, algorithms and nerdy stuff like that.
Recently, someone asked CCP to add more colors to the game, since everything was greyish and dull. They also said they wanted more action, more player interaction, more choices...
What's colorful, made of algorithms, entertaining, timewasting and above all nerdy as hell (and has been popular for more than 2 decades, unlike any other game or artist)? THATS RIGHT! The Rubik Cube!! CCP knows every single EVE player owns a Rubik cube... And they play together, and they show their peni... errr... ships and stuff like that, like a convention!! Rubik Convention! or as the nerds like to sumarize it: "RubiCon"!! It's all a master move!! Next CCP Fanfest, which is held in Reykjavik, (sounds like "Rubik" again, doesn't it? Reykjavik Convention, ReykjavCon -> Rubicon!) there will be Rubik Cubes!! (or at least Discoballs, full of mirrors, reflecting colored lights and lazers, which make the discoballs look like Rubik cub... errrr.... spheres).
Thanks PCGamesN for the chance of winning a Hearthstone beta key!
