Red Dead Redemption 2 would be popular if nobody wrote a single article about it, so why would anyone pay us? We write about it because the vast majority of our audience cares. As for there being no PC version - we're taking an educated guess that's backed up by solid rumours.
See, instead of a direct "no, we do not get additional income from the companies or their representatives for these articles", you're giving me an indirect "why would anyone pay us?" answer instead. I don't know, these games have massive budgets and spread marketing dollars everywhere. It certainly can explain console exclusive news pc-gaming website.
And yes, of course the game is popular, I'm sure you could have gotten a lot of views writing about The Last of Us or Horizon Zero Dawn also, afterall, they're popular games too! You say your audience wants this, but I'd be very curious about the results of a poll asking if you should report on games that have not been confirmed for PC yet. I certainly know where my vote stands. I'd much rather see this space freed up for maybe a lesser known title that could use more attention if you're having a slow news day. I'm sure there are hundreds of indie developers that would jump at a chance for an article.
And aure, this is an educated guess, just like Destiny could have come to the PC, and hey, Bloodborne could also come to PC because the Dark Souls series has! It's nothing but a giant tease. Rockstar's policies clearly shows it considers PC gamers as second class citizens. Unless they're willing to commit to a confirmation, I don't think they should receive any additional exposure than they're already getting.
It's one thing to have one speculation article upon announcement, but I'm willing to bet this won't be the last one. IF it does come to the PC, I'm betting we'll see a dozen speculation articles leading up for YEARS about whether it COULD come to PC, oh my! It makes pc gamers look desperate and pathetic, like there aren't other games to play besides this and we jump through whatever hoops are set for us by the publishers. If it's coming to PC, great, let's hear all about it. If it's not or they refuse to tell us, then how about reporting on something else? Anything! Just something that's a PC game!
Stuff like this makes me want to go elsewhere for PC gaming news, I'll just leave it at that.

Oh nice! It threw me because it said "requires the base game to play" on Steam. Have updated now, thanks!
I believe you need to use a controller.
I don't give a crap about AMD vs. Nvidia, although I have a feeling you do. Read the article. "Mass Effect: Andromeda is just around the corner now, so Nvidia have finally released the system requirements." That is misleading, the requirements were already out. "Finally" they say even, as if they haven't been out for nearly two weeks.
"If you want to push it up to 4K or crank up the graphics options, you'll need to fit your rig with a faster GPU, such as the GeForce GTX 1070, GeForce GTX 1080, or newly-announced GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - get the lowdown on Nvidia's beastly GPU at that link"
If that isn't blatantly obvious to you that this is a sponsored post, then I don't think there is anything I could say to convince you. This post is scummy, and if you don't see it you are blinded by fanboyism.
Hello, writer here. This isn't a sponsored post. We flag our sponsored posts as such, it's just that the Nvidia specs also showed off the graphics options and had minor differences to the original released ones via Origin. Usually, the latest specs are the most accurate. Plus, these ones told you what resolution each is shooting for, as well as revealing those graphics options - both details I thought our audience would be interested in. If AMD were partnered with EA, I would have done the same post but with AMD specs.
Huh, Steam was super out this time. Thanks, have updated.
Glad I could help :)
Multiplayer is an optional extra. The meat of the game is a single-player RPG.
So jealous right now.
You should be. No more aching arms or lumps. Mash will never be the same again. :D
We tried multiple single-player games and one of our guys can't even load Steam at all. Seems to be affecting people differently, which could mean they are slowly bringing it back online.
That's because you launched it through Steam, instead of launching the game.
