It's much better now.
Looks and plays good (well once you unplug a second screen if you have one)
yes there's 144hz support
I was thinking the same thing. I don't think there's a console title my PC couldn't play since there's an XB1 controller attached to it.
I completely understand resourcing constraints as a software engineering professional myself. But if you didn't add that to the budget of the project there must be a good reason. Trying to use Halo as a system seller is the simple answer, which is usually true. But if you analyze it further, how many ported games have you seen on PC with garbage mouse+keybd controls. Quite a few. Smells, but I could buy it.
Also, another simple answer is the game isn't that good and would have been eviscerated on PC. So then you have Quantum Break with a poor launch as a Windows Store exclusive. Then Halo comes out and drops another PC turd. Starting to look like a trend.
I should have expanded my original comment. It's not your typical fraps, it runs in a command prompt and it doesn't show a fps counter in-game although it does tell you your fps in the command prompt window. It can spit out a CSV files with tons of info but not your FPS. To get your FPS you divide 1000 by the MsBetweenDisplayChange.
What I like to do is in excel I put 1000 in one column and drag the bottom right corner of the column so I get multiple columns with 1000. Then I do =D1/C1 (C1 being my first frametime number and D1 being 1000) then drag the bottom right of the column way down. This spits out your fps for however long you want.
Crikey, that's a lot of work for someone that I'm normally able to do by hitting one button! I guess that until there's an alternative I'll have to make do. Thanks for the clarification!
Awesome! I've been looking for something like that but had all but given up hope. I'll certainly use it next time. Cheers!
