I am guessing later this year.
We might just see some signs of Volta at Nvidia's GPU Technology Conference this year, but only in vague pro-level trim. The Oak Ridge super-computers with Volta in have been pushed back to 2018 last I heard.
Just tested with SSD (Intel 750 400G) and HDD (Seagate BarraCuda 3T), nearly no difference (avg+0.2, min+0.6, max+0.6), so I guess it doesn't matter.
I like how UWP apps don't leave a trail of files and registries behind all over the system. UWP apps keep them contained in 1 folder.
On that note, why the heck was it so difficult for developers to understand that the "My Games" folder was for game information and saves? So frustrating how that was implemented and yet developers still kept putting saves in "My Documents"
If Square Enix can get away with it...
It's using Horizon: Zero Dawn's engine. Close but not quite the same. The Guerrilla engine (as it's named) does have the same problems as Killzone's Decima engine. They're both made for the PS4. If Kojima want's to release Death Stranding on PC, it will take some serious time and effort, probably akin to FF:XV and GTA5's delay.
