It doesn't matter, When the 1080 came out it was (And still is) ~25% faster than the 980ti.
So you can expect the same thing with the so called 1180 to be faster than the 1080ti Not to mention we haven't had a line of cards in over two years, therefore these new cards are going to be powerhouses.

Displays are a great investment that lasts a long time and this one should last a very long time to reach it's peak performance. Now I need to wait for the reviews and will avoid the first batch of the production units for them to iron out the kinks of there are any.
This year isn't way off, it sounded like it is not coming this year.
