Only reason you dont see any major benefits on Nvidia side on DX12 is that they actually have coded the drivers well from DX11 compared to the red team. I gain 0 FPS from DX11 vs DX12 in Rise of the Tomb Raider. It only benefits low-end systems aswell. Maybe thats why I dont see any difference either.
You are right. AMD's DX11 is abysmal.
Hey at least consoles gave them they're money in terms of sales, so stick it and be thankful.
Sounds like Cliffy B did the marketing to target himself.
I think you raise another good point, Cliffy B had his name plastered all over this and a lot of gamers remember all the stuff he said about PC after he started making bank off of consoles about a decade ago.
This is a wonderful idea.
If you're going pro and recording audio then an external sound card might be a better bet, but the shielding on modern PCIe sound cards is usually pretty good.
You can get a great audio upgrade from cheaper USB add-ons, like Creative's $25 Sound Blaster Play 3, but the discrete PCIe ones are another level on.
