Ehm, because Warframe is not a grind fest at all ...
It's quite the fringe.
I've had a 2500K for 4 years and unless Ryzen benchmarks are amazing and cost-effective, I'm not bothering to upgrade.
im in the same boat, I kinda pulled a weird move though. I bought a razer blade (late 2016, 1060gtx/6700hq.) and the core, slapped a 1080gtx FTW in it, and thought that I was going to slam my desktops performance to pieces. Well... I'm starting to wonder if I really did. UNFORTUNATELY, I can't think of a good way to test this.... any ideas?
I'm pretty sure he built his career by not giving a shit and making the content he wants to make, regardless of what people think.
Not everything needs to be Disney-fied to be a legitimate form of entertainment.
I tried to watch one of the guy's videos and couldn't watch more than 15 seconds of it, but clearly he has a loyal audience and those people aren't necessarily the Disney crowd.
Of course not everything needs to be Disney-fied. But the fact remains he had gotten big enough to be purchased by Disney - same as they purchased those other 'minor' cultural points of interest like Star Wars and Marvel Comics. Heck they even own 80% of ESPN.
To dismiss Disney's industry clout based on online followers is just foolish.
I can't stand the guy, but when you have over 50 million people as your audience, you get to make the big choices.
If that was actually the case he wouldn't have gotten fired today.
