Please let E3 be the event Rockstar announce RDR2 will come to PC. I don't think I'll be able to cope with a story-driven game of such magnitude being delayed for PC release as long as GTA5 was.

As far as Far Cry 5 sounds, I'll probably end up dodging this title. Far Cry 3 may well be my favourite Ubisoft game (having played every 'flagship' title; not counting Just Dance; they've offered since AC1 released back in 2007), but I never completed either FC4 or Primal. FC4 hyped me up to what felt like a lackluster continuation of the franchise, and Primal just ended up feeling so similar to 4. The prehistoric setting didn't do it for me, and that title disappeared into the games backlog as well. FC5 would be pulling on the same roots as RDR2, leaving little excitement when playing both at the same time. I would inadvertently compare the titles, and I doubt Ubisoft can do anything unique with the Wild West to place it above the other title.
This'll be another title that my expectations are low with. I'm not even sure I could give an reason as to what made FC3 so magical. It was probably Vaas being so eerily believable. Pagan Min had nothing on Vaas.

Rockstar rarely announce anything at E3 ☹

I'm confused, are these decks up to date or not? I am wondering since the comments are from 3 years ago...

We update the story with new decks each patch. So yes, generally they're up to date

I wish you guys run the game on a more varied system configuration instead of sticking to just one. Just to test the performance across a more variety, does not mean you have to play the entire game on different systems from start to finish.
Tim Edwards Avatar

That's a fair comment and something I'd like to address as well. It depends on us getting access to multiple copies of the game so different writers working in different locations can play. That isn't always possible.

Insufferable Ms. Busybody? Good grief yes.

EDIT: On-topic, I got a keyboard with cherry red switches, which I found loud. Some cheap rubber inserts ordered off of amazon soon fixed that.

Hey Recluse,

We're unlikely ever to go to Disqus. This comment system allows the reviews engine we've built to function. It's a deliberate choice we've made to not move across.

Is that what your readers want? The ability to read reviews? I can't imagine I'm the only one here that would much prefer more people to chat with, plus this site is a PITA to log into with having to verify my steam account every time I want to post something. I've been watching this site for quite a while and I love it but I still think your shooting yourself in the foot with this. Note that I was responding to another person having issues with the system. Try polling us or something I would love to see this system go over to Disqus . It's not hurting PC Gamer at all...

What are you looking forward to playing?
Tim Edwards Avatar

I've been constantly arguing with myself over which campaign to play first in Rome 2. On the one hand, it's called Rome, so starting with the Romans seems to be a good plan.

On the otherhand, I love the idea of leading off as a Barbarian faction and smashing Rome up.

What are you playing right now?
Tim Edwards Avatar

A combination of Planetside 2 and Far Cry 3. It seems my brain only wants to play FPS games set in open worlds.

Having said that, all I do in Planetside is bomb about in strike fighter, so I'd probably be better off switching to a proper flight-sim.

Heroes of the Storm review snippet How imaginative is the Heroes of the Storm lore?
It's bananas, frankly. The justification for the MOBA is that somewhere in the universe is a special Nexus where all the Blizzard characters get together to fight, die, and infinitely respawn. It makes no sense and is, coincidentally, brilliant.

Broforce review snippet How gory is Broforce?
Quite, but in a pixelated way, and only as gory as the movies that inspired it. Bodies explode into lovely red gushes, and at the end of each level, you get a recap of how each of your enemies died.

Left 4 Dead 2 review snippet Why do gamers stop playing Left 4 Dead 2 after playing for many hours
My player group gradually disbanded after running through the levels again and again and again. For everything good that Left 4 Dead 2 does, you will eventually get bored of seeing the same levels.

Darkest Dungeon review snippet Why do gamers stop playing Darkest Dungeon after a short period
It felt unfair. I wanted to play more, but it felt like it would be a real trudge to continue, so gave up.
