The best PC gaming Black Friday sales

Black Friday PC deals

Updated 29/11/14

That time of the year when our cousins in America all head towards shopping centres to fight each other is almost upon us. But these days, Black Friday is an international affair, at least online, so everyone can take advantage of cheap stuff without risking life and limb. Lovely.

Instead of trawling through the list of deals every day, you can leave it up to us. Below is a list of the best PC gaming deals, including the Steam sale that just kicked off, and we’ll update it as new ones appear.

The Steam Exploration Sale is still going, with 5645 games getting discounts. Instead of daily deals and flash sales, Valve’s posted two sets of featured deals, one which will run for two days, and another that will be gone tomorrow. We'll be updating this every day.

Today's deals:

Two Days:

One Day:

Origin has a competing “Pre-Black Friday” sale on the go, too. It’s pretty massive as well. Rather than go through the whole list, here are the deals that jump out. Note that there’s a strange disparity between US and UK prices. Some games are only on sale on one or the other, while in other cases the price is simply wildly different.

The Amazon US store has a few good deals, but if you’re purchasing outside the US, remember that you’ll need to use an American address.

Amazon UK's Black Friday sale has been comparatively rubbish, but it does have one deal that's better than its US counterpart.

Blizzard doesn’t do sales very often, but for Black Friday, it’s cut the price of its biggest games in half. The best deal is undoubtedly World of Warcraft, which you can pick up, along with every expansion apart from Warlords of Draenor for a measly four quid.

Square Enix will be discounting part of its catalogue for Black Friday. There’s actually two sales running, though. First, there's the November sale running in Europe. We’ve picked out the best.

And here's a few choice deals from Square Enix's US Black Friday sale. It's not nearly as good as the European sale, though. For instance, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is $8, but you can get every single Deus Ex game in the European sale in a collection for just under £6, which amounts to about $9.

If all the build up, the working out, the timed runs, the martial arts classes and anything else that you've been doing to prepare for Black Friday is all getting to be a bit much, you could always lose yourself in an MMO. NCSoft have discounted Guild Wars 2 by 50 percent to alleviate your stress along with WildStar.

Riot's been taken over by ne'er-do-wells who are giving away Champion skins for League of Legends at a discounted price. Over the next few days, different batches of skins will go on sale, and you can buy every single one of them in a bundle. The individual discount is 50 percent, while the bundle is 60 percent. The first batch will go on sale on November 28th. Here's what you can get:

  • Baron Von Veigar - 487 RP
  • Vandal Gragas - 487 RP
  • Coral Reef Malphite - 375 RP
  • Almost Prom King Amumu - 260 RP
  • Deadly Kennen - 260 RP
  • Freljord Ashe - 260 RP
  • Longhorn Alistar - 260 RP
  • Recon Teemo - 260 RP
  • Tribal Ryze - 260 RP

Mythological MMO, Smite, also has a Black Friday sale on, but only for gem purchases. You'll be able to get free gems when buying gem packs.

  • Ultimate God Pack - 600 gems free
  • 1500 Gem Pack - 400 gems free (total 1900)
  • 2500 Gem Pack - 800 gems free (total 3300)
  • 3500 Gem Pack - 1200 gems free (total 4700)
  • 8000 Gem Pack - 3000 gems free (total 11000)

Green Man Gaming's "Green Thursday Sale" sees countless games reduced, though most of them are about the same price as the Steam offers. There are a few cheaper ones though.

UK retailer GAME also has its own Black Friday deals, and some 4 hour sales that run between 4pm and 8pm GMT. It's mostly for consoles, but a few PC deals crop up too.

That should keep you going for a good long time, but if you spot any great Black Friday deals that we've missed today, be sure to let us know in the comments.

My wallet is fine. There are no games on sale that I want. In fact, I already have all the worthwhile co-op games on steam and Origin so I'll be fine this time.
