You seem surprised. Welcome to the modern world I guess :P
Corporations will always be greedy, and prices will always be hiked as high as they believe possible. Many complained and put off the title for it not being available on its own. There retaliation is to sell as a full price game. Some will cave (and that will just be more profit for them) and that's all they want.
Complaints and bad publicity won't hurt them at all. They've already been through worse complaints before, obsessed fans will still buy the next title. They're just claiming more money flogging old horses whilst they can.
Gwent is the most addictive card game I've played. I spent 6 hours the other day just exploring Novigrad and playing Gwent with all the shop keepers. CD Projekt RED needs to make this a standalone single/multiplayer game. I'd buy it for 15$... ok maybe 10$.
I'm going to have to try hairworks once I get a GTX 980 or a TitanX. At this point it just kills my FPS. This game is amazing though.
A lot of people say it is unnecessary. I thing it is one of the details that makes the game look great. It does little for Geralt but is astonishing on mobs. I can't turn it off, and I don't have to with my set up.
The drop in fps with interactions with NPCs is because of the hairworks option. Its a real buzzkill for my 770. I prefer the regular hair to hairworks. For me hairworks doesnt go as well with the look of the game as regular hair does. The physics seem the same on both.
That is what I suspect was up. I don't see a dip any other time so I will keep it on. Hairworks really shows with hairy mobs. Wolfs and such look gorgeous with it on.
