I have both games - and for what it's worth, I enjoy playing NMS more than Starbound.

No Man's Sky 1.03 pre-release patch fixes 30-hour exploit in expansion-sized updateNo Man's Sky 1.03 pre-release patch fixes 30-hour exploit in expansion-sized update

If "good things can come out of pre-release leaks", just imagine what beta tests could achieve!Reply

Or demos, which allow people to test the mechanics for issues before the game comes out. What a crazy concept!

A crazy concept that Playtonic put to good use with the Yooka-Laylee toybox and that really worked out for them. It helped them get a lot of good information on how people played and approached the game. Quite clever, really. Shame we've never had anything else like it before. No, never. Not at any point throughout history.

You'd think demos would be more important than ever, now, right? Along with betas, yes. And basically any system that allows the developers to get feedback on their game in a prerelease state.

I thought Just Cause 3's multiplayer was just a matter of time?

I hope your right. but this time something official instead of mod. last JC2 mod was not a success cause it didn't have AI in the world. it was empty only with humans.

The Division's Underground DLC gets a June 28 release date, reveals Survival mode The Division's Underground DLC gets a June 28 release date, reveals Survival mode
am0eba Avatar
I'm confused - the first DLC is "Underground", which is what the trailer shows. Is "Survival" a game mode that's a part of "Underground", or is it the second DLC?

The Warcraft movie's new trailer has fighting, CGI and questionable musicThe Warcraft movie's new trailer has fighting, CGI and questionable music

I can't leave this uncommented: The track is "The Day is my Enemy" by The Prodigy, and it's not dubstep. It's a pretty good track, outside of the Warcraft movie trailer context.Reply
Kirk McKeand Avatar

Ah, cheers for that! I quite like The Prodigy ordinarily, but it really doesn't suit this trailer at all. I did say "dubstep-style", though, not that it actually was dubstep. It's those bwarps.

So these set pieces are only useful when you have the entire set, adding "useless" individual pieces to our already strained inventories?

Just Cause 3's incoming 1.02 patch will "significantly reduce" load timesJust Cause 3's incoming 1.02 patch will "significantly reduce" load times
am0eba Avatar
I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Yes, the load times are rather long, but I've never even thought about bringing them up as something that bothers me about the game. Perhaps it's because I rarely die, or because the patience that I needed as a kid after typing "LOAD "*",8,1" is hardly even put to test nowadays.
I've seen quite a few community reviews giving the game a "thumbs down" simply because of the load times, which is just ridiculous.Reply
Fattox Avatar

The general loadtimes were fine for me too. The only slow bit was when you first load the game up and it takes about 60 seconds to get going due to logging in/autoloading the game and such.

It'd probably take almost as long in other games to do all that though, but i guess being the one to hit "continue" makes it feel less of a wait.
